| | | End-of-Year Giving: Dog-HarmonyFounder, Nancy Bown, CPDT-KA enjoyed teaching Mrs. Laney’s class at Eglin Elementary School on Eglin Air Force Base responsible dog ownership this past month. Since children often drive families’ decisions about dog ownership, Dog-Harmony focuses on the relationship between children and dogs - and developing programs to promote positive interactions through proper behavior. In 2022, Dog-Harmony put more than 2,500 students through this program and is currently in the process of developing a new curriculum to better meet the community’s needs in 2023. Dog-Harmony is expecting to need about $10,000 next year in order to increase the reach of this program in northwest Florida in 2023. | |
