Miramar Beach, Fla. – The Emerald Coast’s favorite doggie costume contest and social is back! Join Dog-Harmony at the 8th Annual Barktoberfest, a canine-only trick-or-treating event, at Grand Park in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin on October 26 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Complete with Oktoberfest libations, gourmet appetizers from JC's Gourmet, music, a spooky silent auction, and incredible raffle prizes, this event will feature a superhero-themed canine Halloween costume contest.

With a $15 donation (or $20 at the event), pets and pawrents, dressed as their favorite dynamic duo, can enter to win ghoulish prizes in a superhero-themed costume contest and receive professional photographs sponsored by Mills Photo Design.

“Barktoberfest is my absolute favorite event of the year and I love seeing how creative the families are with their costumes,” says Dog-Harmony Founder, Nancy Bown, CPDT-KA.

The proceeds from Barktoberfest support the non-profit’s bite prevention classes for children and canine therapy programs that provide comfort, affection, and stress relief in hospitals for patients and staff.

Dog-Harmony requests that prong, choke, or shock collars are not used on pets at the event.

Barktoberfest is presented as part of the Coastal Culture Series made possible by the Grand Boulevard Arts & Entertainment Program.
